JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Perform maintenance procedures on engines, diagnose engine problems, perform designated repairs on customer.
• Perform mechanic activities.
• Detection of faults through the use of diagnostic laptop computers, gauges, and instrument in all machines.
• Disassemble and assemble engine components.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree or high school diploma.
• Certified caterpillar and/or wartsila mechanic.At least 2 to 5 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing larger (marine) engines.
• Work experience in diagnosing equipment utilizing laptop computers (e.g., CAT SIS, CAT ET), gauges and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines, and general machine performance.
• Knowledge and experience with heavy machinery and mining equipment.
• Knowledge of basic tools and usage including basic welding skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast environment that requirements multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
• Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft office desired.
