GABON WOOD SUPERVISOR

Location: Gabon, Central Africa

Salary: 2,500 – 5,000 RM

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with at
  least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate log truck transport, routes, loading, and log evacuation.
• Conduct road accessibility surveys and ensure roads are safe and clear for operations.
• Supervise and monitor log truck drivers and loader operators, including assignments and performance.
• Ensure trucks, loaders, roads, and bridges are properly maintained.
• Coordinate with Camp Supervisors on log information, evacuation, and road maintenance.
• Manage operations according to weather and road conditions to prevent road damage.
• Handle staff management, misconduct, incidents, and disciplinary matters.
• Manage transport costs, fuel, maintenance, and labor budgets.
• Develop and enforce SOPs, policies, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct training, coaching, and staff development, including FSC and HSE compliance.
• Prepare operational, incident, cost, and monthly management reports.
• Maintain proper records and documentation.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
